I had been wanting to check this spot out for a while and it didn't disappoint! My buddies and I came in for dinner after a cocktail hour at the Equipment Room. We kept the party going with some delicious negronis and some cold craft beers. We ordered two pizzas: a pesto /chicken and a cacio e pepe pizza. Both were exceptional. Dare I say they reminded me of West Coast "Cal-Ital" in their light, crispy, yet chewy-gooey way. The fresh seasonal ingredients were the star of the show. Cal-Ital is one of the lost legit cuisines on the planet: so this is high praise! We really enjoyed the atmosphere. The service and the interior were inviting and awesome. This feels like a do-not-miss neighborhood eatery that's equally family friendly & festively hip. We had a great time/ meal. I highly recommend visiting Dovetail.

Delicious! My vieja and I walked in and were promptly greeted and seated (I'm a poet and don't know it). We opted for the Bittersweet (I always think of big head Todd as opposed to bittersweet symphony) and fried aceitunas. All of the food was deliciously cooked, the atmosphere was quiet but lively, and I got to ogle the hottie sitting across from me. What's not to love?

Fried olives. Why hasn't this always been a thing? Better yet, why didn't I think of it?? These are perfect little poppers. A bit of crunch with the salty brininess of the olives and a pop of whatever delicious dipping sauce they served with it. Amazing. We ordered the bittersweet pizza with pepperoni. And for a kale hater, I might be a new convert. The combination was delicious. The crust could've been a little crisper, but I'm not knocking points off because it was really great. The service was wonderful! Definitely a place to keep on my Austin go-to list.

Wow it's so good. The service here is great and the atmosphere is very inviting. I started with an espresso martini which was perfect! The Burrata and calamari were so good and more than expected. Then we had their pizza which was delicious too. They provide a chimichuri and pepper oils. Please try these with your dishes. They are outstanding and takes the pizza experience to a new level. Dovetail is a must try. I'll be back soon!

I came by here tonight for the first time. We loved the food so much. We got the shrimp alfredo and the pepperoni pizza. Both were insane- I also love the added touch of the chili oil and the other oil at the table. Unfortunately our service wasn't the best. At one point it had been 30 min since we had our server come over despite trying to make contact with him. The other server was very kind and ended up helping us. When our server came over I ordered the swirl soft serve with chocolate chips and when it came it was just chocolate ice cream with sprinkles. At that point I didn't want to complain- I just wanted to grab the check. Again- the server was kind- just not attentive. The other servers were also very sweet. The food was amazing and I hope to have a better experience next time.

I want to start by saying the atmosphere here was very lovely. I would say it would make an amazing date night spot. Our waitress was super welcoming and ensured my friends and I were comfortable and had all we needed. We ordered a pizza that we shared and my other friend got the pasta. The pizza was super good and honestly a great size. The ingredients were very fresh and personally I loved that it wasn't overly saucy. Although I didn't try out the pasta it looked good and my friend had good things to say about it. Only downside is the pricing. This place is definitely on the higher end but I guess it's justifiable since the ingredients were so fresh.

I ordered Dovetail for pickup and had a great experience! It was ready in about 15 minutes and they followed all of our modifications to a tee. Food: I love a classic pepperoni and theirs is great. I suggest getting it double cut, otherwise the pieces are quite large. The ricotta ranch is a must, it's clearly homemade and fresh each day. Ambience: I've only picked up, but the place is super cute! It looks like a great spot for date night.

Wow! The food portions are surprisingly big. It was my first time seeing oval pizza cut like that but it works! I was able to finish whole slices. The pizza is large so I recommend sharing among 3-4 people. Although I love meat, the Cacio e Pepe stood out to me more than the meat pizza, and I loved the flavors. The meat pizza was a bit salty for me. Bolognese and chicken parm are ok, nothing special to me. Tables are kind of small so it doesn't seem to be a place for a large party. The servers are really friendly and explain what the dishes are. There is even chili oil and garlic chimichurri sauces on the table that you can add to your pastas or pizza. Dovetail has its own parking lot, which is always a plus!
